WALTHAM, Mass. – Top-seeded Curry College captured the 2010 ECAC Division III New England Baseball Championship, defeating third-seeded Wentworth, 22-10, on the campus of Bentley University in Waltham on Sunday. Colonels’ junior catcher Brad Hawn (Chino Hills, Calif.) went 6-for-6 with seven runs scored in the title game, and was named as the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

EASTON, Mass. – Senior Tim Sweeney (Walpole, MA) went 5-for-6 as he led the top-seed Colonels to a win over #5 Framingham State, 15-3, in an ECAC Division III New England Tournament semi-final game Saturday afternoon in Easton. Curry (29-13) advances to the finals on Sunday and will host #3 Wentworth.  The game will be played at Bentley University at 3:00 p.m.

WALTHAM, Mass. - Rick Vail (Lynnfield, Mass.) belted a two-run home run and drove in four as top-seeded Curry knocked off #8 Daniel Webster, 13-3, in an ECAC Division III New England Tournament quarterfinal match-up Wednesday afternoon in Waltham. The Colonels (28-13) advance to the semi-finals on Saturday and will host either #4 Suffolk or #5 Framingham State. The Eagles conclude their most-successful season ever at 21-17.

CAPE COD, Mass. -- After finishing the regular season with a 27-13 record, Curry was selected as the number one seed in the 2010 ECAC Division III New England Baseball Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.

MILTON, Mass. - Student-athletes from ten different institutions in The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2010 All-TCCC Men’s Lacrosse Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.  In addition to the all-conference team, winners of five major individual awards and the team sportsmanship award were also selected.
