FORT MYERS, Fla. - On Monday, March 15, the Curry College Softball Team opened its 2010 campaign with a 3-2 loss to Wheaton College. The Lyons improved to 4-1. Junior Amanda Peters suffered the loss for Curry, allowing seven hits and three earned runs with one strikeout. Senior Kristen Jackman went 2-for-3 with an RBI, junior Samantha Velezis went 2-for-3, as did sophomore Laikyn Nadolny. Sophomore Stacey Norton knocked in the Colonels’ other run.

PINE VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Elmira College Soaring Eagles Men’s Ice Hockey team took the ice Wednesday night in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament against the Colonels of Curry College. Elmira College entered the contest with an overall 18-8-1 record, while the ECAC Northeast champion Colonels possessed a 19-8-1 overall record.

Ashley Hansbury (Chelmsford, Mass.) led the Colonels to a 23-7 victory over Lasell in their season opener with a seven goal and two assist performance. Hansbury also contributed a caused turnover, draw control, and four ground balls in the win.
