CAPE COD, Mass. -- After finishing the regular season with a 27-13 record, Curry was selected as the number one seed in the 2010 ECAC Division III New England Baseball Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.

MILTON, Mass. – Senior first baseman Rick Vail (Lynnfield, MA) homered and singled to drive in four runs to lead the Curry College baseball team over visiting University of Massachusetts Boston, 12-7, on Tuesday afternoon in Milton. The Colonels improve to 27-13 on the season, while the Beacons’ five-game win streak comes to an end as they fall to 22-14.

MILTON, Mass. - The major individual award winners in baseball in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) were recently announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.  Curry senior Tim Sweeney was selected TCCC Player of the Year and Curry senior Cory Moore was named TCCC Pitcher of the Year. Voting for each of the major awards was conducted among TCCC baseball coaches.

With the win, the Leopards (26-13) advance to Saturday’s semi-final round, where they will host #5 Salve Regina. The loss eliminates the Colonels, who fall to 26-13.

MILTON, Mass. – Top-seeded Curry College fell 12-10 to #5 seed Salve Regina in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Baseball Tournament action Wednesday afternoon in Milton. With the win, the Seahawks improve to 2-0 in tournament action and advance to the winners bracket, where they will resume play on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Colonels, now 1-1 in tourney play, will host the winner of Thursday’s Wentworth-Gordon match-up on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

MILTON, Mass. – Senior Tim Sweeney (Walpole, Mass.) drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to lift top-seeded Curry College to a 5-4 win over #8 Gordon College on Day 1 of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Baseball Tournament. The Colonels will now host #5 Salve Regina on Wednesday, while the Fighting Scots take on #4 Wentworth. The Seahawks were a 14-6 winner over the Leopards in other Day 1 action.
