Newsome Named as TCCC Player of the Week

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College sophomore goalkeeper Brian Newsome (Lawrenceville, N.J.) recorded a pair of shutouts in crucial TCCC matches against WNEC and Nichols, the two squads from last years conference championship game. Newsome was called upon to make 14 saves to preserve a 2-0 win over WNEC, and also made five saves to secure the Colonels 2-0 victory over Nichols.
The Colonels have an overall record of 4-2-1 and 3-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
