MILTON, Mass.- Suffolk University defeated Curry College, 3-2 in overtime, in men's ice hockey action on Saturday night in Milton, Mass.  The Colonels fall to 14-6-1 overall and 8-1-1 in conference play, while the Rams improve to 8-10-3 overall and 4-4-2  in the ECAC Northeast.

The first period saw both teams even with shots until Suffolk scored late in the period off a goal from senior Pat Welch to take a one goal lead into the second period.

It didn't take long for Curry to answer back and tie the game as freshman Michael Cenisio scored 22 seconds into the second period off assists from senior Sean Sylvester and sophomore Ryan Barlock.  Just four minutes later the Colonels would take the lead when freshman Connor Hendry put one past the Rams goaltender. The score would remain 2-1 going into the third.

The Colonels would outshoot the Rams 18-6 in the third period but couldn't find the back of the net.  After regulation both teams were tied at two.  In overtime, Curry would start the period a man down due to a third period misconduct penalty.  Just 55 seconds into OT, senior Pat Welch scored the game-winner on assists from teammates sophomore Andrew Wein and freshman Andrew Flynn.
