Western New England College, three-time defending champions of The Commonwealth Coast Conference, has been selected as the favorite to win the 2010 TCCC men’s soccer championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head men’s soccer coaches.
            WNEC (16-5-4, 10-2-1 TCCC in 2009) received 11 of the 14 first-place votes in the 2010 TCCC preseason poll. Roger Williams University was selected second while receiving the three remaining first-place votes. Salve Regina University and Wentworth Institute of Technology were picked to finish third and fourth, respectively.
            Teams received 14 points for every first place vote received, 13 points for second place votes, 12 points for
third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
