Nichols College has been selected as the favorite to win the 2010 TCCC women’s tennis championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head women’s tennis coaches.
            Nichols (15-2, 10-1 TCCC in 2009) received six of the 11 first-place votes in the 2010 TCCC preseason poll. Roger Williams University and Colby-Sawyer College each received two first-place votes and were picked to finish second and third, respectively.  Endicott College and Salve Regina University, each received one first-place vote and were picked to finish fourth and fifth, respectively.
            Teams received 12 points for every first place vote received, 11 points for second place votes, 10 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
