Fruwirth Named as NEFC and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week
MILTON, Mass. - Curry College junior quarterback Kevin Fruwirth (Agawam, Mass.) has been named as New England Football Conference (NEFC) Offensive Player of the Week and the ECAC Division III Northeast Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Westfield State on September 15, 2012.

Last Saturday against Westfield, he completed 30 passes, tying a school record that he established two weeks ago against WPI in his first collegiate start.

Fruwirth finished 30 of 47 (64%) for 290 yards with three touchdowns in Curry's 34-27 come-from-behind win. His TD passes were from 9, 12 and 9 yards.

He engineered Curry's game-winning, 80-yard drive by going 9 for 9 for 47 yards. That included the 9-yard touchdown pass with 51 seconds remaining.
