SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College senior guard Sedale Jones (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for the period ending January 20. It is the third time this season that Jones has earned CCC Player of the Week honors.
Jones led the Colonels to a 2-1 week, with key CCC victories over Western New England and Wentworth. In a 73-54 victory over Western New England, Jones tallied 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots. In the Colonels’ hard-fought 85-72 loss against CCC foe Eastern Nazarene, Jones netted 22 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out four assists. In Curry’s 78-65 road victory over Wentworth, Jones scored a game-high 31 points, gathered four rebounds, and assisted in four other baskets. On the week, Jones averaged 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, four assists, 1.3 blocks, and one steal per game.
Curry is now 8-1 in conference action (11-5 overall), and is sitting in first place on the CCC leader board.
