DUDLEY, Mass. – Seniors Michael Bane (North Grafton, Mass.) and Corey Davis (Wakefield, Mass.) each scored three goals in Nichols College's 11-9 loss to Curry College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse action Tuesday night at Vendetti Field.

Bane also dished out a pair of assists as the Bison slipped below .500 at 4-5 (0-3 CCC). Freshman Matt Serra (Haverhill, Mass.) potted three goals for the Colonels (4-5, 1-1 CCC), who have won two-straight against the Bison.

Junior Joseph Shea (Arlington, Mass.) opened the scoring with his seventh and eighth goals of the season as Curry grabbed an early 3-0 lead. Goals from Bane and freshman John Zaremski (Dorchester, Mass.) to close the first, followed by another from Davis to open the second, drew Nichols even with the Colonels at three.

Curry scored three of final four goals of the opening half to take a 6-4 lead into the break. The Bison netted four of the first five goals in the third quarter – including a pair from Davis – to grab their first lead of the night at 8-7. Serra's sixth of the season and third of the game with seven seconds left tied the game at eight heading to the fourth.

Senior Roland Jensen (Zionsville, Ind.) scored at 11:03 before freshman Steven Grogan (Sandwich, Mass.) scored a man-up goal 60 seconds later to give the Colonels an 11-8 lead.
