Chris McKeon enters his fourth academic year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications in 2019-20. 

McKeon took over at Curry in September 2016 after a ten-month stint as an athletic communications assistant/multimedia coordinator at Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y. While at Siena, he was the primary media contact for eight of the Saints’ 22 NCAA Division I athletic programs. As the multimedia coordinator, McKeon oversaw the athletic departments’ video production efforts, which included live game production, highlights, and special feature packages.

“I am so excited to have this opportunity at Curry,” McKeon said. “I look forward to bringing new and exciting communication ideas to the athletic department and the College."  
 
McKeon has been instrumental since his appointment, establishing a social media presence for Curry Athletics on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and has helped grow each of those accounts to hundreds of followers in less than a year.
 
McKeon will oversee the sports information office at Curry as well as serve as the primary contact for the Colonels’ football, women’s soccer, men’s ice hockey, men's basketball, baseball, softball and men’s tennis programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports and Fitness Management with a concentration in Sports Communication from Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut. While at Mitchell, McKeon was a four-year student-athlete on the Mariners NCAA Division III men's cross country and tennis teams. He helped the Mariners win the 2012 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) title, their fourth straight conference crown. The team reached the title match in the following year. 
 
McKeon was heavily involved in athletics while at Mitchell also served as the "Voice of the Mariners" at all basketball home games, serving as the Public Address Announcer for four years. Additionally, he served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
