Curry Athletics Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Class
Milton, MA - The Curry Athletic Department is very pleased to announce the 2025 Hall of Fame Class. It features 10 total inductions, including nine athletes and one team.
NCAA Era Inductions
The athletic department will induct seven individuals from the NCAA era, who combine for 20 conference first team recognitions. The inductees are Scott Driscoll, Ryan Barlock, David Vincent, Emily Irwin, Mark Mastrullo, Kaitlyn Lima, and Megan Mulrooney.
Barlock, a member of the men's hockey team and class of 2012, was a first team All-American during the 2011-2012 season, culminating a great career with the Colonels. Upon graduation he had played in the most career games in program history (109), a record that stood up until this year. That same season he was a Joe Concannon semifinalist, NEHWA all-star, team MVP, and Curry athlete of the year. It also marked his second first team all-conference recognition, as he was also named to that team for his play in the 2009-2010 season. Sandwiched between his two first team honors was a second team honor in 2010-2011.
Mastrullo, a member of the men's basketball team and class of 2010, was a well-rounded player for the Colonels. He holds the program record for games played (113) and three pointers made (259). He is one of only six players to score over 1,500 points in their career at Curry, having scored 1,502. He made a first team all-conference appearance his senior season, a season that saw him set a new program record for steals (68).
Driscoll, a member of the football team and class of 2010, was a ball hawking defensive back for the Colonels. He is second in program history with 20 career interceptions, and returned a program record six of them for touchdowns. He was three time first team all conference member, and two time conference player of the year. His senior season he was named a first team All-American, and was named to numerous regional teams. His career highlight was a two week stretch where he had four interceptions one game (a program record), and then three more the next game. At Curry, he was leader, being named team captain his senior year, and the Curry athlete of the year for the 2008-2009 school year.
Lima, a member of the women's soccer team and class of 2017, was a dominant goal scorer for the Colonels. She led the team in goals each of her four years, and finished her career with the fourth most career goals (44) and points (110). She was named to the conference's first team twice (2015 and 2016), second team once (2014), and was an honorable mention the other year (2013).
Irwin, a member of the women's basketball team and class of 2019, absolutely rewrote the program record book. So much so, her name appears in it 79 times. She is the programs all time leader in points (1,657) and steals (486). Her senior season she led the entire NCAA in steals with 130, an average of 5.00 a game. She was a three time first team all conference player, and was twice named the conference's defensive player of the year. She was named the Curry athlete of the year for the 2018-2019 school year. In the past year she was also named to the CNE's All-40th Women's Basketball team.
Mulrooney, a member of the women's tennis team and class of 2014, is perhaps the best tennis player in program history. She played in the #1 singles spot all four years, and held a 73-41 record between singles and doubles. She was named a conference first team singles player three time, and a doubles first teamer once.
Vincent, a member of both the football and baseball team and class of 2008, was a dominant player in both sports. On the football team he was a kicker, and holds the program record for most career field goals made (33), and was named a first team all-conference kicker in 2007, and to the second team for punting the same year. His senior year he was also named an academic All-American. While very accomplished on the gridiron, Vincent was even better on the diamond. As a member of the baseball team he was named a first team all-conference athlete all four years, and was the conference's player of the year in 2008. He holds the program record for career triples (17), and has the second most career homeruns (15). He was named the Curry athlete of the year for the 2007-2008 school year.
Pre-NCAA Inductions
The athletic department will induct two members from the Pre-NCAA era in Robert Delaney and Kevan Joyce.
Delaney, a member of the football team and class of 1991, was a menace on the defensive line. He still holds the program record for career sacks (25), and sacks in a season (13 in 1988). That record breaking season he was named a first team all-conference player. His senior year he was named a team captain, the team defensive player of the year, and the team MVP.
Joyce, a member of the men's hockey team from 1986 to 1990, graduated in 1992. While he didn't put up a lot of counting stats, he was well known as the ultimate team leader, helping lead the team on a 24-game win streak during the 1987-88 season. That team would go 26-3-0, ultimately falling in the North Semifinals. Their 26 wins is still a program record. His coaches called him a work horse, and nobody worked harder. He always did whatever was best for the team.
Team Inductions
The lone team to be in this year's class is the 1997 Softball team. Led by the CCC Coach of the Year Bruce Weckworth, the Colonels went 23-9. While only going 5-3 in conference play, they made a great run in the playoffs, winning the CCC Championship as the #5 seed.
The team was an offensive powerhouse, ranking 10th in batting average (.382), 12th in scoring (268 runs), 16th in slugging percentage (.509), and 4th in triples (28)
They were led by three first team all conference players in second basemen Venessa Gaisor, centerfielder Adrienne Tierney, and Curry Hall of Famer Michelle Maiocca, a pitcher. Also receiving all conference recognition was another pitcher in Leanne Tarkanian, who was named to the second team.
The official Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026.
