Bio

Breen enters his third year as the assistant hockey coach for the 2015-2016 season. He graduated from Trinity College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is currently enrolled in Northeastern's Master of Sports Leadership program.

Breen comes to Curry after serving as head coach of Merrimack College's club hockey program. He successfully led Merrimack from a newly-formed independent team to a well-respected program in the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association’s American Conference. He was responsible for all on-ice activities along with off-ice conditioning, strength program, and video analysis.  Prior to coaching at Merrimack, Breen was an assistant coach at Trinity College where he was responsible for coaching the forwards, player development, and video analysis.

Collegiately, Breen played at both Merrimack College and Trinity College. At Merrimack, Breen was a two-time member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team, a member of the 2002-2003 Academic All-Star Team, and the 2002-2003 Hockey East Top Scholars-Athlete. At Trinity, Breen helped the team reach the #4 national ranking and the NESCAC semi-finals.

Breen was born in North Andover, Mass. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover for three years. He lives in Brookline and currently works full-time as the Program Director for Micro Ice Training Centers of America, a small ice hockey training facility in North Andover.
