Baseball Picked 3rd in TCCC Pre-Season Coaches' Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Three-time defending champion Western New England College has been picked as the favorite to win the 2011 The Commonwealth Coast Conference baseball championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head baseball coaches.
Western New England (34-12, 17-5), received eight of the 12 first-place votes in the 2011 TCCC preseason poll. Endicott received two first-place votes and was selected as the runner-up, while 2010 ECAC champion Curry collected one first-place vote, and was picked to finish third. Salve Regina was selected to finish fourth, while Anna Maria garnered the remaining first-place vote and was slotted in the fifth spot.
Teams received 12 points for every first place vote received, 11 points for second place votes, 10 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote.
