MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 20-6 by Roger Williams University in a Commonwealth Coast Conference baseball game Tuesday afternoon at Jack Valley Baseball Diamond.
With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 5-24 and a conference record of 0-9.
Curry put up six runs in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at 6-6. The Colonels first scored off Brett Hegg's (Taunton, Mass.) double to right-center field that drove in a pair of runs. Later in the inning, Curry loaded the bases for Tommy Marshall (Hanson, Mass.) who launched a home run over the right field fence for a game-tying grand slam! The Colonels had five total hits throughout the inning.
Curry totaled 14 hits throughout the contest with five players recording multiple hits. Fagala led Curry, going 4-for-5 with four singles while scoring once.
Curry College returns to action on Wednesday, April 24th, with a home game against Bridgewater State beginning at 3:30 p.m.
