CJ Willis Promoted To Baseball Head Coach
Milton, MA - After spending the 2026 season as the Co-Head Coach, CJ Willis was promoted to the Head Coach position of the Curry College Baseball team on Tuesday. Willis' fellow co-head coach Ryan Kirkpatrick is staying with the team in his original assistant coach position.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the Curry College baseball program," said Willis. "I believe leadership is built on preparation, relationships, accountability, and the ability to help young men grow on and off the field. Myself along with the entire baseball coaching staff will prepare our players everyday and give them the best student-athlete experience possible."
Willis joined the Curry College Baseball team prior to the 2026 season as an assistant coach. He came to Curry after a collegiate career that saw him play at Western New England and Quinnipiac University. While at WNE he was named the 2021 CCC Rookie of the Year, and was named to the conference's first team in 2022. He is the all-time single season and career homerun leader in program history. He then went to Quinnipiac where he was named to the all-conference first team in 2025. After graduation he played for the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League. He also coaches for the East Coast Eagles, an AAU team based in Bridgewater, MA.
"CJ's commitment and energy to the program and student athlete success is what stood out to us," said Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione. "Along with the desire of his entire coaching staff to strengthen the baseball student-athlete experience."
After a 6-29 season, the Curry Baseball team will kickoff their 2027 season with a game on February 23rd at Emerson. Their first home game will take place on March 23rd against Lasell.
