MILTON, Mass. - Montie Quinn (Goose Creek, S.C.), a freshman running back on the Curry College football team, was named Wednesday morning to D3football.com's Third Team All-Region 1.

Quinn led the Commonwealth Coast Conference in nearly every rushing category in his first season of collegiate football. He entered Curry as a wide receiver, but was the Colonels' primary running back by week two. He finished the season with a league-best 1,165 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns, while also catching 19 passes out of the backfield for 125 yards.

Named the CCC's Offensive Rookie of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference selection, Quinn earned CCC Offensive Rookie of the Week an astouding six times, while also earning Offensive Player of the Week twice.

Quinn is the first Colonel to earn D3football.com All-Region accolades since defensive lineman Parrish Rogers-Reed in 2014.
