Quinn and Aboutoui Named to ECAC First Team
Milton, MA - Last week the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced their 2025 Division IIII Football All-ECAC Team and major awards. Two Curry Football players were recognized, as both Montie Quinn and Omar Aboutoui were named to the ECAC First Team.
Quinn, a senior from Goose Creek, South Carolina, ran for 2,446 yards and 27 touchdowns on 249 carries, averaging 9.8 yards per carry. He went over 200 yards rushing on seven separate occasions, including setting the all-divisions NCAA record with 522 yards on just 20 carries against Nichols. He was a huge part of the reason why Curry improved from 4-6 last season to 8-3 in 2025. Quinn was named to the ECAC's second team last year.
Aboutoui also gave the Colonels another weapon, as he went 13/14 on FG, and 54 of 60 on extra points. Earlier this year in a 60-0 win over Maine Maritime he tied or broke the Curry record for longest FG three times. First tying it with a 46-yarder, then hitting from 48-yarder, and finally a 53-yarder. He would later best that with a 54-yarder against Husson. Having just wrapped up his sophomore year, Aboutoui recently transferred to Division I Maine. He ends his time at Curry with the 5th most FG made (18), and the highest FG percentage at 75%, well above the previous record of 63% set by recent HOF inductee David Vincent.
