MBB Selected Eighth in TCCC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's basketball team has been selected to finish eighth in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) for the upcoming 2009-2010 season, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head men’s basketball coaches.
Gordon College (20-7, 9-4 TCCC) received five of the 14 first-place votes in the 2009-10 TCCC preseason poll. Colby-Sawyer College was selected to finish second, also receiving five first place votes. The defending champions, the University of New England were picked to finish third while garnering two first place votes. Wentworth Institute of Technology also picked up a first place vote and was tabbed to finish fourth, while Roger Williams University was projected to finish fifth.
Teams received 14 points for every first place vote received, 13 points for second place votes, 12 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
