SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry Collge was defeated 93-53 by Western New England University in a Conference of New England men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.
With the loss, the Colonels' overall record falls to 2-13, and their conference record drops to 1-7.
After a slow first half for the Colonels, the visitors ended up outscoring WNE in the second half by a margin of 38-37. Malik Gelinas energized the Curry offense with 14 second-half points while shooting 5-for-7 from the field including a pair of three-pointers.
Gelinas finished with a team-high 15 points while adding five rebounds. Jeremiah Predin reached double-digit scoring numbers with 10 points and led all players with a game-high seven rebounds.
Curry College returns on Wednesday, January 22nd, to host Gordon in a CNE matchup beginning at 7:30 p.m.
