Milton, MA - The Curry Men's Basketball team fell to Western New England on Tuesday by a final score of 81-74. The Colonels are now 5-15 on the season and 1-10 in CNE play. The Golden Bears are now 15-5 and 9-2.
The two teams went back and forth over the first 10 minutes of the game, with neither team ever leading by more than four points. The Golden Bears would build a lead of seven, but that was quickly brought back down to three by the Colonels. But the Golden Bears were persistent, and built it back up to seven by the time the halftime horn buzzed, as they led 43-36. The Golden Bears would lead by as many as 13 in the second half, but the Colonels did not go away quietly, as they closed within four on four separate occasions. But they were unable to get any closer, and ultimately fell 81-74.
The Colonels were led by three double-digit scorers in Nethaniel Clemente (17), Isaiah Andino (17), and James Scali (15). Clemente also added 12 rebounds for a double-double. He even had three blocks to further pad the stat sheet. Manny Hidalgo led the team with five assists.
