Men's Basketball Falls in CNE Finale

Dudley, MA - Curry men's basketball dropped a 95-86 decision to Nichols on the road Saturday afternoon. The Colonels (7-18, 3-13 CNE) see their season draw to a close after Saturday's result and Nichols (14-11, 9-7 CNE) will look ahead to the Conference of New England playoffs.
Jeremiah Predin led the Colonels on the day, turning in one of his best outings of the season, with 31 points on an efficient 13-of-19 shooting from the field. He added eight rebounds, four steals, and two assists to go along with his point total in 35 minutes. Isaiah Andino added 14 points, connecting on 7-of-9 from the free throw line, while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds.
Manny Hidalgo contributed 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals. Nethaniel Clemente finished with eight points and eight rebounds followed by Ebube Agbaji and Netahniel Clemente who had seven points each.
As a team, Curry shot 48.5 percent (32-of-66) from the field and 72 percent (18-of-25) at the line. The Colonels were especially efficient in the second half, shooting 54.5 percent over the final 20 minutes while scoring 50 points.
Nichols, however, maintained control throughout, opening the game with a 53-point first half and never relinquishing the lead. Javen Flowers-Smith led the Bison with 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, while Kuany Teng added 15 points and Dominic Mello finished with 12. Nichols shot 57.6 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from three-point range on the afternoon, while also scoring 23 points off turnovers.
While the final result puts an end to Curry's 2025-26 campaign, they saw two more conference wins than the prior year and improved overall by five wins compared to the 2024-25 tilt. More information regarding All-Conference and season awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
