Canton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team fell to Trinity on Sunday, 3-2, dropping the Colonels to 5-2 on the season. The Bantams, who entered the season nationally ranked, improved to 2-4-0.
The Colonels were able to go up 2-0 in the first period, as Karim Gayfullin and Manny Cabral each found the back of the net. Curry then outshot the Bantams 16-2 in the second period, but one of those two Trinity shots scored, and the two teams went to the third period with the Colonels up 2-1. The Colonels were unable to hold on to the lead, as they gave up a shorthanded goal early in the final period, and then an even strength goal late. They would have a power play for the final minute of the game, but were unable to find an equalizer.
Goalie Cam Smith fell to 2-1-0 on the season, making 20 saves.
