Colonels Fall Short of Leopards
The Curry College Men’s Tennis team was downed by Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Wentworth Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-3 at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College Men's Tennis team was downed by Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Wentworth Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-3 at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.
With the loss, Curry dips to 0-14 overall this season and 0-7 in the CCC.
Senior Lorenzo Russo (Lynnfield, Mass.) was victorious in both of his matches on the afternoon, winning 6-4 and grabbing a 10-6 tiebreaker at first singles after pairing up with senior David Monteiro (Fall River, Mass.) to prevail 8-6 at first doubles.
The tandem of Grant Palmer (Charlotte, N.C.) and Devon Richards (Berlin, Conn.) grabbed another point for the Colonels in third doubles, winning 8-4.
The Leopards, however, won one doubles match in the remaining five singles matches to claim the conference victory at the Trent J. Scott Tennis Courts, 6-3.
Curry returns to the court Monday (4/25) as they travel to face Western New England for more conference action. First serve is set for 3:30 PM.
