Men's Volleyball Swept by Regis
Milton, MA - The Curry Men's Volleyball team fell to Regis for the second time this season, losing 25-23, 25-20, 25-18 on Wednesday night. The Pride had previously beaten the Colonels in five sets in the Colonels' first match of the season. After Wednesday's loss Curry is 6-7 on the season, and Regis is 9-7.
The first set proved to be the closest of the three, and Curry even held a 19-17 lead late, but five straight points from the Pride put them in position to win the set, and they would 25-23. The second set saw Regis quickly go up 5-1, but the Colonels would even things up at 10. But after trading a couple points, Regis once again created some distance from Curry, and won the set 25-20. Despite leading 8-5 in the third, Curry was unable to hold that lead, as Regis scored 10 of the next 11 points, and won the final set 25-18.
Chris Milfort led the Colonels in kills like he has all season, with nine. Nyko Whitaker had 18 set assists, while libero Nicholas Watson led the team with 10 digs.
Up Next - The Colonels will play in their first conference match in program history on Friday, as they travel to Nichols for a 7pm start.
