Cross Country Competes at James Sheehan Invite
Leominster, MA - The Curry Cross Country team kicked off their season by racing at the James Sheehan Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Blaise Denson led the way for the men in the 5k, finishing third overall with a 17:35.61. Just under a minute behind him was Alexander Nason, finishing in 10th with a time of 18:22.82. Also finishing in the top 20 was Logan Sheldrake-Hernandez, running a 19:28.08 race. All three of those times broke the program record for the 5k race, previously held by Nason at 19:56.1, set last year.
For the women, Mackenzie Husson topped the team with a 14:53.69 time in the two mile, good for seventh.
Up Next - The Colonels will hit the racecourse again next week, when they compete in the Hartford Invitational.
