Men's Cross Country Wins Travis Fuller Invitational
Buzzards Bay, MA - The Curry Cross Country team competed in the Travis Fuller Invitational on Saturday, and the men's team won the team event, the first invitational win in program history.
The men were led by the trio of Blaise Denson, Linus Kiser, and Alex Nason, who finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Denson and Kiser each set PRs, with Denson breaking his own program record with a time of 28:11.0. Linus posted a time of 28:42.5, right ahead of Nason's time of 29:01.3. Paul Alfonso was next for the Colonels with a time of 32:11.1, good for 8th place. Chance Payton rounded up the counting runners in 22nd, with a time of 35:34.3. That was good enough to give the Colonels the invitational championship, giving them a score of 30, just one better than host Mass Maritime.
Laraeler Rossow and Jayda Davis finished in 9th and 11th place for the women, posting times of 26:22.6 and 29:07.1
