Rogers and Allardice Earn CNE Postseason Awards
Two Curry softball players earned CNE Postseason Awards
Jillian Rogers was named Conference of New England Softball First Team All-Conference in the pitcher position, announced by the league offices on Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to being the Colonel's ace all season, with a 12 wins, 151 strikeouts, and a career-low 1.77 ERA, Rogers cracked the top 10 in multiple categories in program history with 477 strikeouts (2nd), 91 appearances (3rd), 28 wins (7th), and 33 complete games (10th). Her strikeouts per seven innings ratio of 8.50 also ranks first, more than a strikeout per game better than the next closest player.
Standout performances for the senior include an eight K no-hitter against Mass. Maritime, an 11-strikeout performance against SUNY Poly in the season opener, a 13-strikeout win over the University of New England, and a season-high 14 Ks against Endicott in the penultimate game of the season.
Junior Dabria Allardice earned the CNE Community Service Team nod, which recognizes one student-athlete per institution who demonstrates a commitment to their community, selected by each team's head coach.
