MILTON, Mass. - For the second consecutive season, the Curry College women's ice hockey team has qualified for the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament, and will take the ice against #4 University of New England on Wednesday evening for the CCC Quarterfinal. Puck drop from the Harold Alfond Forum is slated for 7 p.m.

Season Series
The Colonels took two of three from the Nor'easters in the regular season, with the home team taking all three games. UNE defeated Curry 3-0 on November 11, but the next day the Colonels were victorious by a 2-1 final. Curry won the rubber match 3-2 on February 4.

How They Got Here
Curry enters Wednesday's quarterfinal with a record of 8-15-2, and finished CCC play with a record of 5-11-2 to claim the fifth seed. UNE enters with a nearly identical overall record of 8-14-3, but went 7-9-2 in league action to earn the fourth seed.

Players to Watch
Curry's leading scorer this season is sophomore Danielle Stein (Plainview, N.Y.), who enters Wednesday's contest with eight goals and five assists for 13 points. Against UNE this season, Stein has tallied one goal and one assist.

Sophomore Grayson Goolgasian (Johnston, R.I.) is expected to make an impact on Wednesday as well. She is Curry's second-leading scorer with seven goals and four assists for 11 points, and leads Curry with four power play goals, including one against the Nor'easters on November 12.

Freshman Ava Doyle (Lynnfield, Mass.) will anchor the blue line for Curry, and serves as her team's scoring leader among defenseman and rookies this season with two goals and seven assists for nine points.

Senior Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) is expected to get the start between the pipes for the Colonels on Wednesday. Archambeault carries a record of 6-8-1 overall on the season, and ranks second in the CCC with a .944 save percentage. Her 502 saves (fourth) and 2.06 goals against average (fifth) both rank in the top five in the CCC.

Senior McKenna Remillard is UNE's leading scorer, having tallied six goals and eight assists for 14 points this season. Remillard missed the weekend series against the Colonels in November, but was kept off the scoresheet in UNE's loss to Curry earlier this month.

A trio of Nor'easters scored three points against Curry this season, led by senior Carolyn Curley, who scored a goal in all three games. She finished the season tied for second on UNE with 11 points. Graduate student Meghan Hamilton and sophomore Keely Kasputis each scored a goal and two assists against the Colonels this year.

Junior Delanie Corcoran is expected to get the start in net for UNE. She has started 24 of UNE's 25 games, compiling a 7-14-3 record with one shutout, a .938 save percentage and 2.20 goals against average.

"Our approach, progress, and success in this year's regular season and experience last postseason are incredibly valuable as a young team," said Curry women's ice hockey head coach Kelly Rider. "We have prepared to always bring our best and we know, even in the regular season, each game gets tougher. We are ready for this next challenge, and while we have already doubled our win total from last season, we hope to continue to add to it."
