Canton, MA - The Curry Women's Hockey team took down a visiting Lake Forest College team on Saturday by a 2-0 score. The Colonels are now 6-4-1 on the season, while the Foresters are 8-6.
The first two periods saw little action, with only three total penalties, and no goals. The Colonels held a slight 22-18 shot advantage after two periods. They would change the story just seconds into the third though, as Bella Mardesich scored off an assist from Kylie Harrison. Five minutes later the Colonels doubled their lead, this time on a Kayley Hansen power play goal, assisted by Grace Inoue and Darby Marshall.
The Colonels won the faceoff battle 35-21, led by Morgan Slough (14-20) and Grace Inoue (10-14).
Coriann Hoag stopped all 24 shots she faced for the shutout, her second of the year.
Up Next - The Colonels will take on Worcester State next Friday at 3pm.
