Beverly, MA - The Curry Women's Hockey team fell 3-1 to #10/#11 Endicott on Friday, falling to 9-6-1 on the season, and 5-4-1 in CNE play. The ranked Gulls are now 12-4-1 and 8-2-0.
After a scoreless first period, the Colonels took a lead more than halfway through the second period, as Bella Mardesich scored on passes from Megan Sawatzky and Aria Kader. It was Mardesich's 12th goal of the season, four more than anyone else in the conference. But the Gulls would answer less than four minutes later and tie things up going into the third. Endicott then scored two quick goals early in the final period, and Curry was unable to respond with any goals of their own.
Despite outshooting the Gulls 13-7 in the first period, the Colonels were outshot in the game 41-37. The Gulls also won 37 of the 63 faceoffs.
Curry goalie Coriann Hoag stopped 38 of the 41 shots she faced.
Up Next - The two teams will faceoff on Saturday at the Ice House in Canton at 3pm.
