West Springfield, MA - The Curry Women's Hockey team fell to 9-9-1 on the season and 5-7-1 in CNE play on Saturday, losing 2-1 to WNE. The Golden Bears are now 13-6-0 and 9-3-0.
The Colonels opened the scoring just six minutes into the game, as Morgan Slough scored off an assist from Darby Marshall. The score would remain 1-0 all the way through the midway point of the second period. The Golden Bears would then even things up with seven minutes remaining in the second period on a power play goal, and then take the lead with 33 seconds left in the period. Despite the Colonels best efforts, they were unable to find an equalizer in the third.
Sarah Kerr stopped 29 of the 31 shots she faced.
