Canton, MA - The Curry Women's Hockey team fell on Friday to Suffolk 2-1, dropping to 10-12-2 on the season, and 5-10-2 in CNE play. The Rams are now 6-16-2 and 6-9-2.
Suffolks scored twice in a two minute stretch in the first period to take a 2-0 lead, and it would stay that way until six minutes left in the third. Alaina Holmes tipped in a shot from Darby Marshall to cut the Rams' leaf in half. The Colonels would pull their goalie for the last two minutes, but were unable to find an equalizer.
The Colonels outshot the Rams 47-25, and won the faceoff battle 32-26.
Sarah Kerr made 23 saves on 25 shots in net for Curry.
Prior to the game the Colonels recognized their six seniors: Sarah Kerr, Reilly Ganter, Margot Oxman, Megan Sawatzky, Tommi Nash, and Ava Doyle.
