WTEN Picked to Finish Eighth in TCCC Preseason Poll
MILTON,Mass. - Colby-Sawyer College has been selected as the preseason favorite to capture The Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s tennis championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head women’s tennis coaches.
Colby-Sawyer College (17-1, 10-0 TCCC) received seven of the 12 first-place votes in the 2009 TCCC preseason poll. Defending champion Endicott College was picked as the runner-up receiving the remaining five first-place votes. Salve Regina University and Roger Williams University were selected to finish third and fourth, respectively.
Anna Maria College will compete for The Commonwealth Coast Conference championship for the first time in the 2009 season.
Teams received 12 points for every first place vote received, 11 points for second place votes, 10 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
