Borkov Earns All-CCC First Team Singles Accolades
MILTON, Mass. – Curry College freshman Alexandra Borkov (Newton, Mass.) was one of six singles players named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference First Team for the sport of women's tennis, as announced on Friday afternoon by the league office.
Joining Borkov on the All-Conference First Team were Roger Williams' Alessia Cahoon and Emma Place, Endicott's Justine Hoover, Gordon's Jordyn Maddex and Nichols' Isabella Winter. Borkov was the only freshman to make the First Team squad.
Borkov went 2-4 for the Colonels while playing at the No. 1 position as a rookie. Both of her wins came in straight sets and each of her four losses went to a third set or a third-set tiebreaker.
Borkov is the first Curry women tennis student-athlete to earn All-Conference accolades since 2013.
Curry finished the season with an overall record of 1-5 and 1-4 in CCC play.
