Women's Volleyball Pushes UMass Dartmouth But Falls 3-0

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Sophomore Courtney DiBiasio (Conventry, R.I.) led the Colonels with a high of five kills in a 3-0 loss to UMass Dartmouth Friday evening in North Dartmouth. Set scores were 26-24, 25-11, 25-20. Curry slips to 7-9 on the season.
The Colonels pressed the Corsairs in the opening frame, losing the closely-contested set, 26-24. In the second set, the Corsairs took control with a 25-11 victory. In the final set, Curry continued to battle but fell short with a 25-20 loss, losing to UMass Dartmouth 3-0.
Sophomore Hannah Robison (Cumberland, R.I.) led the Colonels with a team-high 12 assists. Freshman Brittany Lynch (Randolph, Mass.) paced the team with two service aces. Junior Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) notched a team-best 21 digs. Sophomore Christina Wallis (Peabody, Mass.) led the team with a high of four blocks.
The Colonels return to action next Wednesday, visiting the University of New England at 7:00 p.m. in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match.
