BIDDEFORD, Maine - Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.), a senior on the Curry College women's volleyball team, has been named the Player of the Week by the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Pereira had a strong opening week for the Colonels, as she led her team to a perfect 3-0 start. She averaged 12 kills per match on the week, with 17 in a four-set victory over Anna Maria on Saturday. The senior also averaged 14 digs per match, recording two double-doubles on the week. At the service line, Pereira also contributed seven aces in the three victories.

The CCC Player of the Week will look to help her team stay perfect when Curry returns to the court at Fitchburg State on Tuesday evening. First serve from Fitchburg is slated for 6 p.m.
