MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College Department of Athletics announced on Thursday morning that Sarah Hollis has been selected as head coach of its women’s volleyball program.
Hollis comes to Curry after spending three years as the assistant coach for Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Suffolk University.
“I am very excited to announce the hiring of Sarah Hollis,” said Curry Director of Athletics Vinnie Eruzione. “Her experience at both the collegiate and club levels will be extremely valuable to our women’s volleyball program. She will be bringing in a familiarity with our conference and recruiting which, along with her energy and enthusiasm, will help push our program to the next level. She will be an excellent addition to our coaching staff.”
Hollis also has experience coaching at the high school and club levels. In the spring of 2021, she was the head coach of the girls’ freshman team at Saint Joseph Preparatory School in Boston, and served as an assistant coach for club teams Boston Hurricanes and SMASH Volleyball.
The Hudson, Mass. native played four years of collegiate volleyball for Lesley University. The two-time captain finished her career with 364 kills, 282 digs, 77 assists, 55 service aces, and 32 blocks in 79 matches for the Lynx.
Hollis graduated from Lesley in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. Earlier this year, she completed a Master’s degree in Innovative Early Childhood Education at the University of Colorado Denver.
“It is an honor to be named the next head coach of Curry College women's volleyball team,” said Hollis. “I want to personally thank President Quigley, Athletic Director Eruzione, and the search committee for this opportunity and for believing in me to lead the program. I am extremely excited and eager to begin my tenure at Curry and look forward to pursuing a competitive run in the Commonwealth Coast Conference alongside the dedicated student-athletes, coaches, and staff.”
