MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated in three straight sets by Bridgewater State University in a non-conference collegiate women's volleyball match Monday night at Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-6, 25-18, 25-13.
With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-10 on the season.
After dropping the first set, Curry battled back in the second, which included a four-point scoring run that helped the home team to a 14-8 advantage halfway through the set
The Colonels spread the ball around offensively, with five different players matching the team high of three kills. Emma St. Cyr (Dover, N.H.) was a standout with 16 of the team's 18 assists while Sonja Matheson (Voluntown, Conn.) paced the Colonels with nine digs.
Curry College opens up conference play with a road match against Roger Williams on Wednesday, September 25th, beginning at 6 p.m
