Northampton, MA - The Curry Women's Volleyball team was beaten by both Worcester State and Smith on Saturday, falling to 5-18 on the season.
The Colonels lost the first two sets to Worcester State, but kept things close. They would then capitalize in the third set, winning it 26-24. But the fourth set did not go their way, losing the match 3-1 by a score of 25-19, 25-20, 24-26, 25-11.
Meghan Abbott led the Colonels with 13 kills, while Emma Hobart also contributed with seven kills. Jasmyne Fillippini ran the offense, collecting 20 set assists. Carley May and Morgan Kramer each had eight digs.
The second match of the day was a struggle for the Colonels, falling 25-4, 25-17, 25-12 to Smith. Fillippini led the team with four kills and 9 assists. Faith Edgehille led the way with 11 digs.
