SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the fifth straight week, Curry College freshman Peyton Perine (Fairfax, Va.) has been recognized as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for the sport of women's basketball.

Perine picked up a double-double this week scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds against CCC rival Salve Regina. It was the seventh straight game she reached double figures in scoring. Perine shot 9-for-16 (56.3 percent) from the floor, while also recording a steal and two blocks in the contest.

Perine and the Colonels (6-6 overall, 3-1 CCC) will next play on Tuesday, January 8 at Roger Williams at 5:30 p.m.
