Dudley, MA - The Curry College women's lacrosse team fell to Nichols, 14-7, on Wednesday afternoon in Conference of New England action at Vendetti Field.
Nichols took control early, outscoring Curry 6-1 in the opening quarter and built a 10-1 advantage by halftime. The Colonels were able to generate more momentum in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Ella Palanza led Curry offensively with four goals and an assist, including a pair of tallies in the fourth quarter. Sarah Kelly added two goals, while Grace Grosso chipped in a goal of her own.
Curry showed resilience after halftime, scoring two goals in the third quarter and adding four more in the final frame, including two free-position goals late. The Colonels also held a 16-7 advantage in draw controls, led by Kelly's six.
Up Next: Curry (2-8, 0-4 CNE) will also head back home Saturday, in the second game of a doubleheader vs Wentworth at 4 PM.
