Katie was born in Rochester, Minn...is majoring in nursing at Curry, with a minor in biology...the daughter of Mike and Laura Courteau...has two older siblings, Kylo and Mikayla...father Mike played baseball at Mayville State University, and brother Kylo played football and rugby at the College of St. Scholastica...chose Curry to experience something new

Katie is a 2022 graduate of Warroad High School in Warroad, Minn...played four years of varsity ice hockey and softball, three years of varsity volleyball, two years of varsity cross country, and one year of varsity track & field for the Warriors...a Section 8A Champion and Minnesota state champion in ice hockey as a senior...recipient of her ice hockey team's Sportsmanship Award in her senior season...a two-time All-Conference selection in cross country, and one-time team conference champion...recipient of the Lady Warrior Award in volleyball in 2021
